After three years in the field, WOBBLELIGHT®, has taken what they have learned and made a light that is so tough, that they are backing it with a 2 year warranty. The WOBBLELIGHT® Super Duty has an even tougher exterior and an interior that boasts sealed components and 10 gauge wiring throughout.
What Is Tough Enough?
Since the introduction of the original WOBBLELIGHT® Work Light in 2005, our business has shifted dramatically. We went from supplying lights to mostly residential construction to becoming a major player in the commercial construction and industrial segments. We have tweaked our current WOBBLELIGHT over the years so that it is tough enough for about 80% of the markets we serve, but we needed something that could survive the rigors of mines and quarries or be put on a job that would take more than a year to complete.
Other Features
Aside from improving the overall toughness, the WOBBLELIGHT® Super Duty has some features that make it a step above other work lights. The high visibility green color and reflective tape make it stand out on the job. The Glow-In-The-Dark disk is an unusual addition to a work light, but when a breaker trips and you are in a dark confined space, the disk works as a bright point of reference to help you find your way.
The locking shackle is great when the light will be left unattended for long periods of time and where theft might be an issue. This is also important when the jobsite electrician has planned out the lighting placement to meet OSHA criteria and does not want the lights moved. The GFCI option is good for when you expect to be in an area that may get wet, and the 20 amp twist lock is great since many job sites are set up on this system.
